Land Acknowledgement Statement

The AAP provides an Indigenous Land Acknowledgement at the start of the National Conference. A Land Acknowledgement is a formal statement that recognizes and respects Indigenous Peoples as the original inhabitants and traditional stewards of the lands on which this conference is taking place. The Land Acknowledgement also acknowledges Indigenous people’s ongoing connection to the land and promotes awareness of the history and culture of Indigenous people. View the statement here.

Mobility

Scooters rental is available for the duration of the conference.
Accessible parking is available all conference venues.
ADA accessible registration is available onsite.
ADA hotel rooms within the AAP hotel block available upon request.
ADA reserved seating in plenary sessions, seminar rooms, and section/council programs.

The Washington Convention Center has two additional Mamava Nursing Pods.
The L Street Lobby South location is next to meeting room 103AB
The L Street Lobby North location is in the middle building between the rainbow staircase and meeting room 140AB.

The door will display as “vacant” when available for use. Attendees may use the code 8008 to unlock the pod.
